Ten ways I know I'm getting old

1. Policemen, firemen, doctors and other men in uniform look too young for me

2. I like listening to Radio 2, and find myself moaning about the departure of Terry Wogan

3. My daughter asks me where I am going or where I have been and will I be alright, like she's my mother!

4. I shout at people on TV when I think they are wankers.

5. I won't allow anyone to watch 'Big Brother' because I have 'standards'.

6. I drink cocoa in the evening.

7. I am becoming even more clumsy. If there is something to drop, break, trip over or fall down, I will do it.

8. I talk about things 'in the 80s' as though it were yesterday.

9. I belong to the National Trust and honestly enjoy visiting their properties.

10. I have numerous aches and pains where I didn't have them ten years ago.

  1. Yep, I reckon that's about right, maybe not 2 (I was never a big fan)or 7. Numbers 4, 5, 8 and 10 definitely!
Others I may add to the list or my top ten:

    1. Becoming less tolerant of idiots and bureaucracy. (The Victor Meldrew syndrome)

    2. Lapses of memory like walking into a room and forgetting why I went there in the first place.

    3. Firmly convinced that all rap music is complete bollocks.

    4. Firmly convinced that anything played by Genesis, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones and others of their era is brilliance.

    5. Always complaining that any student getting an 'A' in their 'A' levels has it easy.

    6. Pop Idol, American Idol and any other ridiculous reality show should be banned immediately on the grounds of being grossly offensive to anybody with half a brain/taste/musical appreciation/talent.

    7. Not interested in partying into the early hours. Much preferring retiring to bed with a good book.

    8. Alcopops - why?

    9. Owning a library card and proud of using it.

    10. Finding home renovation is really interesting

6.Saying things my mother said, that drove me mad then!
7.Not being able to understand WHY young men have the need to walk about with their jeans round their thighs and not round their waist!
8.Wearing comfortable clothes instead of squeezing myself into ridiculously tight jeans where I had to lie on the floor to do them up.(Didn't have lycra then)
    9. Struggling with new technology that my kids seem to have complete understanding of.
    10. Not being able to hear very well any more :(.
    BUT:
